FAQ

Q: When is the RSVP deadline?

A: The 15th of August .

Q: What should I wear?

A: Black tie optional, for the boys kilts or suits and for girls dresses or jumpsuits. The colour theme for the wedding is blue or pink but as long as you aren’t wearing all black or matching the brides white dress you are perfect. If your suit is black or your kilt’s jacket is black that’s absolutely fine.

Q: Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

A: The wedding and the reception will be indoors with the reception having large outdoor spaces for you to enjoy. The weather in September in Poland tends to be warm and sunny, but we suggest some light cover up for later on in the day as it may get cold.

Q: How do I get to the wedding venue?

A: We’re asking people to make their own way to the wedding venue. There are several local taxi companies in Lezajsk and we recommend booking a few days before hand if possible. Most of them have someone who speaks English but if you are having issues with the language barrier please let us know and we can help you out.

Q: How do I get to and from the reception?

A: We are looking at arranging a bus to take people from the wedding to the reception once we know final numbers. After the reception you can either pre book or call a taxi on the day to take you to your accommodation.

Q: How do I get to Lezajsk?

A: We are organising a bus from Krakow airport to Lezajsk closer to the time once we know the number of people, times, and dates people are arriving. If you are interested in this please do message us once you know when your flight gets in. For those who want to make their own way to Lezajsk there are public buses and trains running regularly from most major cities in the area.

Q: Where is there to stay in Lezajsk?

A: You can book an AirBnB, or a hotel. For hotels in the area we recommend “Hotel u Zygmuntow” in Lezajsk or “Stokrotka” in Giedlarowa. If you would like to stay in a bigger city, Rzeszow is about 30 minutes drive from Lezajsk.

Q: What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

A: There will be a mass before the wedding ceremony from 13:00 – 14:00 for anyone who would like to join us for that, and the ceremony will start promptly afterwards at 14:15. We recommend being at the church for 14:00

Q: Can I bring a plus-one?

A: Your invitation will indicate how many chairs we have reserved for your party but if you are in doubt feel free to contact us.

Q: Can I bring my kids?

A: Kids are welcome and we have set aside space for them upstairs at the reception. We are looking to hire someone to look after and entertain the kids but would like to know numbers first.

Q: What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

A: Please let us know about any ASAP so we can inform the venue who will be more than happy to make any adjustments required. There will also be a wide variety of snacks and food available throughout the reception.

Q: It’s your wedding day, and I have ran into a last-minute issue! Who do I contact?

A: We understand that last-minutes problems happen, and would love to help you as much as possible. However, as we will be busy the morning of the wedding, we would love you to contact the maid of honour, Sylwia Ugorenko on either +44 7435 891569 or +48 531 039 573. One of the bridesmaids will then answer the phone and help you with any of your questions.

Q: I have a question about gifts.

A: While gifts are welcome, your attendance is all we ask. However if you would like to give us a gift we ask that it not be overly heavy or bulky as we will be flying back. We are currently saving up to buy our first house, so any donations to our “First Home” fund are preferable.

Q: I have a question that you haven’t answered, what’s the best way to get in touch.

A: Easiest way would be to message us on Facebook, send us an email at ferguson.ugorenko@gmail.com or give either one of us a call – Aggie (+44 7778 759837) or Ali (+44 7787 167277).
